Why, to utilize the new logo of course! I recently found what I THINK will be a great new business card vendor - nexcards.com - they have SILK business cards! RAD. Click on image to ENLARGE view...
New Logo!
I have been hoping for a personalized logo since I got out of photography school but (much to my dismay) I am lacking skills in the graphic design department! Lucky for me, I found Inkd.com and had a custom made logo created for me! Thank you to my designer Killorn - I love my new logo, it was not only exactly what I was hoping for... it exceeded my expectations!
On Saturday, January 9, 2010, I shot (with my trusted friend & fellow photographer Alan Kayanan) the 10th Anniversary celebration for customInk.com. This was by far one of the most entertaining groups of people I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. I caught so many great moments and met so many wonderful people in the process! The party took place at The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA - just a couple of blocks from my house; you just can't get any better than that! The evening began with a series of red carpet shots with friends and significant others and followed with an awards ceremony and hours of dancing. This is the kind of job you want to do year after year! Thank you to customInk.com for having faith and to my good friend Joey Nicolia for the reference...Enjoy!
This evening I photographed the Grand Family; Rick, Joannie, Gussie, Stella and Sammy were a ton of fun! After shooting a few in-home portraits, we made our way out to a nearby park in NW Washington DC. I think that in that moment I became 5 years old once again as I chased these little rascals all over the place to catch some of the great moments seen below...
On Saturday, June 27th 2009 I photographed Brandon & Kristen to celebrate their wedding engagement. The shoot took place at Leesylvania State Park in Woodbridge, VA. We had a ton of fun dodging cars, washed up fish carcasses and mosquitos to get the job done and I couldn't be happier with the results!
Today I photographed Future, the popular local DC hip-hop/progressive rock band. Thanks to SM Berry for the assistance! Thanks to Future for playing at my graduation party just a week prior! For more on Future, please visit: http://www.futureband.net/
I recently finished some portraits that I did for a friend ; Ms. Sarah M. Berry. Somewhere between "say cheese" and the final click of the shutter, Sarah revealed that this was her first time being professionally photographed. I was honored! Not only is she gorgeous ... not only does she have gorgeous hair (that any portrait photographer would go ga-ga over), she is an incredibly intelligent well rounded woman. Sadly, Ms. Berry will be leaving us NOVA folks this summer to attend grad school at Boston University. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph her before she goes on the next amazing journey in her life!
Today I photographed the Animal Welfare League of Arlington's 14th annual Walk for the Animals. Some of my favorite photos can be found below. Unlike fundraising dog walks I've been to in the past, this one actually gave me a physical workout. I was running and walking with my big honkin' 5D for three straight miles down Northern VA's W&OD Trail.
One dog in particular touched my heart and he wasn't an unfamiliar (big, fuzzy, adorable) face! In preparation for this shoot, I began to review the available dogs for adoption on a regular basis. Shadow continued to pop up on the roster. Please take a moment to learn a little more about this fuzzy fellow; perhaps you or someone you know can open both your home and your heart to him. Please visit awla.org to meet Shadow and other animals in need of a good home.
New Business Cards!
Today I received my new business cards, designed by yours truly! My cards finally match the new look I recently developed for my website. I'll be handing them out like hot cakes at this weekend's photographic adventure: the 2009 Animal Welfare League of Arlington's "Walk for the Animals" (awla.org). Not only will I be covering the event, I'll have an informational booth set up for inquiring minds and wandering eyes.
